Website enquiries

What is collected and why.

The enquiry and resource forms collect the information you enter, such as business contact details and the requested scope. Wix hosts this website and stores form submissions. Enquiry notifications are routed to La Comptabilité’s business email. Do not submit tax IDs, client returns or source records through the public enquiry form.

Legal bases

Enquiries, contracts and optional communications.

Where applicable data-protection law requires a lawful basis, business enquiries are handled for legitimate business interests and steps requested before a contract. Contract administration uses the applicable contractual basis; legal duties use the relevant legal obligation. Optional newsletter communications use the permission collected for that purpose. A resource request does not itself subscribe you to the newsletter.

Client records

Processing under the practice’s instructions.

For client accounting or tax records, the engagement identifies the firm’s and La Comptabilité’s roles and processing instructions. US tax-return information is processed in India only within the authorised scope and applicable taxpayer consents held by the CPA firm. The responsible US firm must establish consent and disclosure requirements under IRC section 7216 before access.

Review tools

Processing within written instructions.

Return information is processed in India under the CPA firm's taxpayer consents (IRC §7216). No third-party tool receives client data outside the engagement's written data-processing instructions.

Retention

Purpose, legal duties and the engagement.

Website enquiry information is retained for handling the request and any continuing business relationship, dispute or legal obligation. It is then deleted or anonymised when no longer needed for those purposes. Client-record retention, return and deletion are governed by the engagement and the responsible firm’s lawful instructions.

International processing

India and approved service providers.

La Comptabilité operates from India. The firm must assess applicable international-transfer requirements before allowing client data to be accessed or processed overseas. Where UK or EU rules apply, the relevant contract and transfer mechanism must be documented rather than assumed from the server’s location. Service-provider arrangements are reviewed within the agreed processing terms.

Rights and contact

Contact us about your information.

You may ask about access, correction, deletion, restriction or other rights available under the law that applies.
